SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - We enjoyed fairly mild weather for most of the work week, but winter is set to make its first appearance of the season this weekend.

SATURDAY - FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY

A system moving in from the northwest will bring along snow this morning. Temperatures are hovering a few degrees above freezing as of 5am but are forecasted to drop closer to freezing. This means rain will transition to snow.

Snow will fall across much of the area through the morning and could be heavy at times. Within the heavy snowfall rates, reduced visibility and slick spots are expected on the roads.
