BENGALURU: Authorities in Bengaluru have launched an investigation after videos surfaced showing convicted serial rapist Umesh Reddy, gold smuggling case accused Tarun Raju and other inmates using mobile phones and enjoying other privileges inside Parappana Agrahara Central Jail. The videos, which have sparked public outrage, appear to show Reddy — convicted in a string of sexual assaults and murders between 1996 and 2022 — using multiple mobile phones in his barracks.
