An Omnilert alert led to a police presence at a Baltimore County high school on Friday, but no weapon was found, police said.

The incident, which happened around 5 p.m. at Parkville High School, marks at least the second time in less than a month that an Omnilert has led to a police presence at a Baltimore County High School where no weapon was found.

According to Baltimore County police spokesperson Joy Lepola-Stewart, students at the high school were relocated while officers searched the school. Students resumed normal activities after police determined there was no threat and no weapon was found.

The incident comes after a Kenwood High School student was handcuffed after the Omnilert system mistook a bag of chips for a weapon.
