The Jamestown City Council approved on a 4-0 vote increases to license and permit fees for 2026.

Councilman David Schloegel was not present at the meeting on Monday, Nov. 3.

The adjustments include increases for liquor licenses and beer, wine, sparkling wine licenses, tobacco licenses and building permits.

An agreement for China to purchase U.S. soybeans is a positive step for North Dakota farmers, but details of the trade deal need to be seen, according to the president of North Dakota Farmers Union.
