JAMESTOWN — The University of Jamestown Jimmies Women's Volleyball Team lost a four-set battle to No.16 Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs Saturday afternoon at the Harold Newman Arena. The Jimmies finish their season on a road trip; up against the No. 5 Wayne State College on Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.
The Jimmies showed resilience, fighting for a second set victory, but ultimately fell to the Mustangs. The Mustangs took control early, with a 7-point run extending their lead to 14-8 in the first. The Jimmies struggled offensively, hitting 0.097 as the Mustangs won 25-15.
Set No. 2 was the Jimmies' best set, highlighted by a dominant serving game that included three aces, helping them tie the set late. They rallied from a 17-13 deficit, fueled by a block from Caroline Puetz and Kyleigh Schopp. It
