MITCHELL, S.D. – The University of Jamestown men's wrestling team saw strong performances from several individuals at the DWU Open, hosted by Dakota Wesleyan University on Saturday at the DWU Sports & Wellness Complex.
Leading the Jimmies were standout days from William Cook at 157 pounds and Elijah Nose at 133 pounds.
Cook had a prolific day at 157, racking up a 5-2 record. His wins included three pins: one against Charlie Hutson of Fort Hays State in 3:55, one against Ty Saulter of Augustana in 5:48, and another against Gabriel Wagner of UMary in 6:17. Cook also added a 16-5 major decision over Bismarck State College's Izac Turner and an 8-5 decision over Northern State's Carter Ban.
At 133, Nose posted an impressive 4-2 record. He recorded pins in three of his four victories, earning
