FARGO — North Dakota State offensive tackle Nate Tastad was walking around the outside of the Bison locker room earlier this week with a T-shirt that had his hometown on it. Rolette, North Dakota, is closer to the University of North Dakota than NDSU, but the townsfolk’s loyalty will most likely be about Fargo.
Tastad is the starting left guard for a team that will take a 9-0 record and a No. 1 ranking in Division I Football Championship Subdivision into the enemy confines of the Alerus Center for a 1 p.m. kickoff Saturday.
“It kind of depends on what school your parents went to or whatever,” Tastad said. “But there are a lot of Bison fans up in Rolette.”
