The New York Yankees traded for Devin Williams last offseason. Coming off a World Series loss and losing Juan Soto to the New York Mets, the Yankees made many moves in hopes of getting back to the Fall Classic.

Williams was a two-time All-Star and two-time Trevor Hoffman Award winner with the Milwaukee Brewers. The Yankees gave up Nestor Cortes and Caleb Durbin, who ended up becoming the Brewers' starting third baseman, for Williams. Unfortunately for the Yankees, Williams was not the player they hoped for.
