BALLARI: A huge branch of an banyan tree fell on a tourist bus visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hampi on Saturday, causing panic among the tourists. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
The incident occurred when the private bus, carrying tourists, was passing near the Rani Snaan Gruha (Queen’s Bath) area. The tree branch suddenly fell on the bus, creating a chaotic situation. The tourists were relieved to escape unhurt and breathed a sigh of relief.
The local authorities and people helped clear the debris from the bus, and the incident did not cause any major damage or disruption to the tourist activities in the area.
