BELLEVUE, Neb. —
Veterans Day is Tuesday, Nov. 11, but people around the metro are already finding ways to honor those who served our country.
On Saturday, the community of Bellevue is hosting its annual Veterans Day breakfast and parade to honor local veterans.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. and will head east on Mission Avenue before turning north on Franklin Street.
This year, the parade's grand marshal is retired Chief Master Sergeant Richard Casey. He served 27 years in the U.S. Air Force and now serves as a councilman for the city of Bellevue.
Casey says the parade will be affected by the government shutdown.
