A "multi-vehicle accident" on Britain's most congested motorway has prompted an air ambulance to race to the location. ‌

The collision occurred on the M25 between J25 A10 Great Cambridge Road (Enfield) and J24 A111 Stagg Hill (Potters Bar), affecting the anticlockwise carriageway. ‌

Tailbacks are stretching all the way back to J26 (Waltham Abbey). ‌

An air ambulance swiftly responded to the incident, touching down on the clockwise stretch of the motorway.
