Homer, N.Y. — Deputies arrested a 20-year-old man Friday in connection with the murder of a Cortland County man who was found shot in his driveway last month.

Aaron T. Keem, of Dryden, was arrested on a Superior Court warrant charging him with second-degree murder in the death of Anthony T. Beecham, 53, according to a news release from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.

Beecham was shot and killed on the morning of Oct. 8 in Homer, deputies said.

Around 3:22 a.m., police responded to Grove Street near Route 281 for a report of a person possibly in cardiac arrest.

Deputies found Beecham in a driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
