For the first time since 2013, Cherryville football Friday, Nov. 7, earned its way into the playoff win column.

Hosting their first postseason game in seven years, the Ironmen gave those clad in blue, silver and black at Rudisill Stadium plenty to be happy about in a 55-14 win over South Stokes.

Cherryville scored in nearly every way imaginable, junior Elijah Proctor taking on the role of “Mr. Versatility” in the team’s first round game. Proctor returned an interception for a touchdown, returned a fumble for a TD, in addition to rushing for a TD.
