By Robert Moore, El Paso Matters The 7th Run Internacional U.S.-Mexico 10K, a unique race run in El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, has been postponed, the second signature El Paso event to fall victim to the ongoing government shutdown. “We were aware of the government shutdown and wanted to wait as long as possible before making this decision. However, at this point, we must think about all the runners traveling from out of town and everyone involved in planning and organizing this special binational event,” race organizers said in a Friday statement to participants.

“This decision deeply saddens us. Unfortunately, this situation is not in our hands. Several key government agencies that make this unique binational race possible are currently without adequate staff to help us provide support,” t
