It was no secret where Central Catholic would square off against North Allegheny or the location of the McKeesport and Aliquippa showdown.
Those games had been etched in stone for months as Central Catholic (10-1) will take on North Allegheny (8-3) in the WPIAL Class 6A championship game for the record fourth consecutive year on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Pine-Richland High School. McKeesport (9-3), the top seed in the Class 4A tournament, will get a 2023 finals rematch against Aliquippa (8-3) in the noon matinee.
As for the other games, the WPIAL released its updated brackets Saturday for the semifinals in the other four classifications. All games will be played Friday at 7 p.m.
