Australia's best over-60s cricketers will descend on Wollongong and the surrounding areas from this Sunday for the Cricket Australia Masters Over 60s National Championships.

Two-time champions NSW, featuring three Illawarra cricketers, who also play for Australia, are favourites to win a third straight title at the championships running from November 9 to 13.

There will be 24 teams from all over Australia, including three from New Zealand, competing across three divisions over four playing days, with Tuesday serving as a rest day.

Veterans Cricket NSW will host the championships with the assistance of the Greater Illawarra Veterans Cricket Association, as well as volunteers from Illawarra and South Coast clubs.
