HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman was hurt in a road rage incident near FM 529 and Glen Chase Drive on Saturday morning, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said a man with a shotgun allegedly fired at a vehicle, injuring a woman who was sitting in the passenger seat. Images from the scene show the back window of a pickup truck shattered by the gunfire.

One person was taken into custody at the scene, and the woman went to the hospital, where she is expected to recover, according to the sheriff's office.

Officials later confirmed that it was a road rage incident and stated that the investigation is ongoing.
