PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A public funeral service took place in Mount Airy Saturday to honor Kada Scott , the 23-year-old woman who was found murdered last month.

Scott had been missing for two weeks before her body was discovered behind a vacant school in Germantown.

21-year-old Keon King has been charged in connection with her death and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

The service took place Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Mount Airy Church of God in Christ on Ogontz Avenue in Philadelphia.
