A man has been charged with the murder of Colleen Westerman in Leeds. ‌

On November 7, at around 9.01pm, West Yorkshire Police were called to Melville Gardens in Leeds after a woman was found with serious injuries. The woman, later named as 62-year-old Colleen Westerman, received emergency medical treatment, but she sadly passed away. ‌

Now, John Bootland, 56 and of Melville Gardens, has been charged with her murder. He is now due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court today, Saturday, November 8. ‌
