The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it is on the scene of a reported shooting Saturday morning.

The exact location of the incident is unclear, but the SPS says 32nd Avenue is closed between 168th and 172nd streets.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m., Sgt. Tige Pollock told 1130 NewsRadio the street was expected to be closed for the next two to three hours.

Callers to the station report a heavy police presence in the area.

We have reached out to BC Emergency Health Services for more information.

More to come.
