LOUISVILLE, Ky. — No. 7 Louisville extended its win streak to five matches Friday night, as junior outside hitter Chloe Chicoine's 15 kills propelled the Cardinals to a 3-0 sweep of NC State (25-19, 25-18, 25-20).
It was UofL's (19-4, 11-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) third straight sweep. Chicoine was joined in double-digit kills by freshman opposite Kalyssa Blackshear, who logged 11 kills on 19 attempts. Redshirt senior middle blocker Cara Cresse had nine kills on 11 attacks for an .818 hitting percentage, the highest of any Cardinal this season.
Cresse also had five blocks, with redshirt junior middle blocker Hannah Sherman adding four and sophomore outside hitter Payton Petersen tallying two.
