Rainbow District School Board and N’Swakamok Indigenous Friendship Centre officials signed a memorandum of understanding for the N’Swakamok Anishnawbek Kinomaadwin Gamig N’Swakamok Alternative School this past Wednesday.
The purpose of the document is to strengthen educational opportunities for Indigenous students within the city, ensure students have access to all available pathways in completing their secondary school diploma, connect students with post-secondary education, apprenticeships and/or the workplace, and provide support services for Indigenous students to ensure success for all, the Rainbow board said in a release.
