Budgam, Nov 08: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday accused the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) of betraying the people by joining hands with the BJP after seeking votes to keep them at bay, stating that the party’s alliance in 2014 marked the beginning of Jammu and Kashmir’s “downfall”.

Addressing a public rally at Mirgund, Budgam, CM Omar, per news agency said that no one has caused as much damage to Jammu and Kashmir as the BJP. Omar accused the PDP-led government of introducing GST and said the destruction of Jammu and Kashmir began in 2014, not in 2019. “Did the PDP ever apologise for its alliance with the BJP?” he asked, adding that parties like PDP, BJP, Apni Party, and others were unfairly targeting the National Conference.
