Seeing an animal in pain is one of the hardest things a person can witness. Sadly, too many people turn away, forgetting that animals rely entirely on human compassion.

That was nearly the case for one dog who was struck by a car in California. Instead of stopping, the driver sped off, leaving the injured pup alone and suffering on the roadside.

Fortunately, two rescuers happened to pass by. The moment they saw her lying in distress, they knew they had to act fast.

A Desperate Situation
