Injuries have taken another blow to the Seattle Seahawks’ defense ahead of their Week 10 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday that Seahawks veteran defensive tackle Jarran Reed has been downgraded to out with wrist and thumb injuries. Reed fully practiced every day this week and didn’t even have an injury designation, so this is a surprise. This will be the first game that Reed has missed since 2023, when he was held out of a game against the Cardinals in Week 18 with a knee injury.

Reed has been a staple along the Seahawks’ front during his second stint with the team, totaling 1.5 sacks and six quarterback hits through eight games in 2025. Without Reed, the Seahawks will be forced to lean on Byron Murphy II, Seattle’s first-round pick in 2024,
