The San Francisco 49ers will be without their franchise quarterback for the sixth consecutive game as they face off against the division-rival Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

Brock Purdy has missed seven of the 49ers' nine games so far this season with a nagging turf toe injury he sustained in Week 1. The 25-year-old QB suffered a setback during his return to the field in Week 4, and hasn't been able to play since.

Purdy notched limited participation in practice this week, but he still won't be able to take the field in Week 10.

On Friday, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan announced Mac Jones as the team's starter for the sixth straight week. Purdy could be active as an emergency backup, but he also might not even dress for the NFC West clash.
