Manchester’s Christmas markets are now open, signalling the start of the festive season. Spread across 10 locations and featuring more than 200 stalls, the city’s markets are rather impressive.

But the chances of experiencing snow in Manchester are pretty slim, so if you’re hankering after that fairytale Christmas market experience then you might want to venture further afield.

Cities in mainland Europe are more likely to experience snow compared to us, especially in the east and the north.

In fact, research by travel booking platform Omio has revealed the Christmas markets which are most likely to experience snow this year, where temperatures reaching below -2C.
