Hibs finally ended their Saints jinx - but the Buddies were left cursing VAR after a cruel evening in Paisley. ‌

Three wonderful strikes from Josh Mulligan, Chris Cadden and sub Miguel Chaiwa did the damage for David Gray ’s side as they dumped St Mirren for the first time in nine league meetings since May 2023. ‌

But the first two strikes arrived after the home side were denied two goals of their own by VAR spotting the narrowest of offsides. ‌

The first of those arrived after five minutes when Marcus Fraser headed home at the front post only for VAR to notice he’d gone half a yard early.

Hibs made them pay when Mulligan broke the deadlock midway through the half.
