Prince George is stepping out with a purpose.
The 12-year-old son of Prince William and Kate Middleton accompanied his mom to the Royal British Legion’s Festival of Remembrance Nov. 8 at Royal Albert Hall in London, marking his first appearance at the annual ceremony.
For the occasion, the Princess of Wales, 43, wore an understated black dress featuring long sleeves and a white lace collar, while George was dressed in a dark suit and matching tie with white stripes. They each wore a red poppy on their garments as a symbol of respect for members of the military who died while in combat.
Also in attendance at the event—which this year marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II—were King Charles III and Queen Camilla , who sat next to the mother-son duo during
