There’s still time to nominate a child for the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley’s Dr. Janice Lemann Kind Kid Award.
The award, intended to celebrate children who show compassion, empathy and kindness, is part of the Humane Society’s Humane Education Program, which focuses on animal welfare issues, human rights and environmental sustainability, according to a news release from the Humane Society.
The Dr. Janice Lemann Kind Kid Award shines a spotlight on children who go above and beyond to make a positive impact. Lemann promoted of the value of nurturing youth with the responsibilities and compassion learned from the care and love of animals, according to the news release.
