UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. – After a grueling loss to No. 1 Ohio State, Penn State attempted to make a stand against Indiana, the No. 2 team in the country and prove there’s still some resemblance of what it once was. However, despite the numbers being in the Nittany Lion’s favor with an all-time home record of 13-0 versus the Hoosiers, they came up just a few plays short and Indiana walked out of Happy Valley with a 27-24 victory and its first win in Beaver Stadium in program history.
“I'm super proud of the effort that our guys put out there. These guys play hard. I feel awful for them. They do everything we ask of them, and we just keep coming up short,” Interim head coach Terry Smith said. “We have to hit the reset button again tomorrow and continue to figure out how to win a game.”
