COLUMBUS, Ind. – Next week, the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce and community partners kick off the city’s Think Local campaign to encourage residents to discover and support locally-owned and operated businesses throughout the holiday season.
It begins with a “walkabout” on Wednesday, November 13, that will spotlight the independent Columbus retailers. The walk begins at 10 a.m. at the Columbus Visitors Center. Mayor Mary Ferdon will issue a statement urging all residents to shop locally during the holidays, followed by visits to downtown merchants. Another “walkabout” at Hog Molly Brewing Company starts at 2:30 p.m.
