It’s a new era for LSU football — and its first test is trial by fire.

On the heels of firing head coach Brian Kelly, the Tigers will trudge into Tuscaloosa to take on No. 4 Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night.

LSU (5-3), once ranked as high as No. 3 this season, dismissed the fourth-year coach after the Tigers lost back-to-back games — punctuated by a 49-25 loss to Texas A&M at home on Oct. 25 — and dropped out of the AP Top 25.

Associate head coach Frank Wilson was named interim head coach for the rest of the 2025 season.
