NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - It's the final day before the "great cool down" begins so enjoy this evening's warmer temperatures, but be aware that some isolated storms are expected along the North Shore.
First staying in Baton Rouge and parts of the I-10/I-12 corridor at 6 p.m. then expanding into the North Shore area around 9 p.m. and Mississippi counties in the early morning hours of Sunday.
Not expecting to see any significant rainfall from these nor will the storms bring any sort of severe weather threat to that area.
Wind gusts will pick up a bit heading into Saturday evening --- just take a look at New Orleans possibly experiencing 18-mph wind gusts and Gulfport at 15-mph around 8:30 p.m.
