Liam Walsh is making a name for himself at Luton Town - and also on social media.

The Everton academy product was part of an outstanding result for Jack Wilshere ’s Hatters, and then took to X to take a dig at one supporter.

Walsh played the 90 minutes in a 3-0 win over League One leaders Stockport, moving the relegated side up into ninth with a four-game winning streak.

Such form makes it even stranger that one X user decided to reply to the club’s line-up graphic for the match with the message: “£100 says Walsh lets us down....again. I hope I'm wrong.”

He was wrong, and Walsh brutally quoted his message, writing: “Hope ye lost ye £100.”

A number of other Luton supporters joined in with the fun, while also arguing the comment was wrong in the first place.
