EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - An Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation’s marching band won first in the Indiana State School Music Association State Championship Finals today.

According to the EVSC Facebook, North High School’s marching band “Green Brigade” got first in the ISSMA Class B.

They say their performance, “I See You,” explored the idea of being truly seen.

Officials say this is the second time in the school’s history they have won the State Championships.

Jasper High School placed 9th and Reitz High School placed 10th in the Class B competition, while Princeton Community High School placed 7th in the Class C competition.

Results will be announced later tonight for Mater Dei High School, South Spencer High School, Castle High School and Tell City High School.
