OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Saturday and Sunday are both First Alert 6 Weather Days for the first hard freeze of the season as well as strong winds gusting over 40 mph at times.
The main round of wintry mix and snow showers have wrapped up by midday. For tonight, a few isolated snow & rain showers are possible, but it’s NOT expected to accumulate nor impact roads.
The main topic for tonight will be the coldest air Omaha has seen so far this fall! Temperatures are expected to fall to the 20s with wind chills down to 10° by Sunday morning, bringing the first widespread hard freeze of the season.
Be sure to disconnect hoses and drain any above ground water lines, but underground sprinkler lines should be alright.
