MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders is reportedly directing another $500,000 to Arkansas food bank networks as the government shutdown continues.

The governor's office announced the additional funding on Saturday, with Sanders stating that her administration "will stand with our partners in the legislature, at churches, and in food banks to help Arkansans stay fed.”

The governor's office reports that the funds will be sent to the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance on November 10. The Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance is then expected to distribute the money to the state's six Feeding America member food banks.
