Madeleine McCann fantasist Julia Wandelt was found guilty of harassing the McCann family after she begged for a DNA test and sent them sinister letters and messages

Madeleine McCann fantasist Julia Wandelt delivered a brutal message to her own dad the last time she saw him.

Wandelt was found guilty of harassment on Friday after she turned up to the McCann's home and sent the family sinister letters and messages begging for a DNA test. The 24-year-old, who faces being deported, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment, which was less than the time she served on remand as she awaited the trial. She was found not guilty of stalking.

She now faces deportation from the UK with a judge commenting that she poses a " significant risk of the harassment of the McCanns in [the] future."
