The price of a single-family home on Long Island continues to hit record-breaking highs. As they find themselves priced out, buyers — especially first-timers — are opting for condominiums.
Newsday looked at the Long Island communities where 50 or more condos sold so far this year, according to data released by OneKey MLS, the multiple listing service that covers Long Island. Here's what we found.
Nearly an even split between Nassau and Suffolk
Of nearly 2,800 reported sales across Long Island, nearly 1,100 were in these 12 communities, according to the data. Five of them were in Nassau and seven were in Suffolk.
