A knife-wielding robber thought he’d score easy cash — but the Long Island clerk wasn’t in the mood.

The incident happened in Baldwin around 1:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Qwik Pick Market located at 2169 Grand Avenue, according to Nassau County Police.

A 27-year-old male clerk told officers that an unknown man entered the store, displayed a knife with a black handle, and demanded cash. The employee refused, and the suspect left on foot without any proceeds, heading west on Brooklyn Avenue.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a Black man, about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build, weighing approximately 220 pounds. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black face mask, dark blue jeans, light-colored sneakers, and carried a small black bag on a necklace.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.
