RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Richmond's Department of Public Utilities (DPU), announced Friday that it will close areas of Patterson Avenue due to stormwater improvements.

The announcement came Friday, Nov. 7. According to DPU, work in the 6000 block of Patterson Avenue will begin Monday morning, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.--the work will go through, Monday, Dec. 1.

Work will last from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day during this time, and according to DPU, "Traffic control measures will be in place as eastbound and westbound." During the project, temporary lane closures to the westbound left lane will be in effect.

During this three week project, temporary traffic control signs will be placed to direct drivers and traffic.
