Police searching for suspect in fatal hit-and-run crash that killed KU student

LAWRENCE, Kan. (KAKE) - A KU student is dead after a hit-and-run on Thursday night near the Lawrence Regional Airport, police say.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office says Elsa McGrain, 20, was jogging when she was struck and killed around 6 p.m. on Thursday in the 1700 block of E 1500 Road, which is North Seventh Street extended and south of U.S. Highway 24-40.
