TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Noah Fifita and the Wildcats defense both came up with big plays as Arizona edged Kansas 24-20 Saturday to become bowl eligible.
Noah Fifita passed for 158 yards and two touchdowns. He was coming off a dominant performance (213 yards and four touchdowns) against Colorado, which earned him Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors.
It was the Wildcats’ first homecoming victory since 2023, when it beat UCLA.
Arizona (6-3, 3-3 Big 12) is now bowl eligible, and each win will increase the chances the Wildcats will get a good invite. Arizona will travel to face Cincinnati next week before hosting Baylor on Nov. 22. The Wildcats wrap up the regular season in Tempe on Nov. 28 with their annual showdown with Arizona State.
