ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Lobo men's basketball team was back in the Pit on Saturday afternoon against UT Arlington. New Mexico came away with a 74-56 victory.
Offensively, the Lobos were slow to start. The team opened the game 10-30 (33%) from the field and 2-14 (14.3%) from deep. The Lobos finished the second half strong by shooting 48.1%.
The defense stepped up and held the Mustangs to only 19 first-half points. The UNM defense finished the game with 14 steals and 4 blocks.
Individually, Tomislav Buljan led all scorers with 17 points. Deyton Albury was the only other Lobo to score in double-figures (15). UNM also racked up 15 team assists.
