CHESTER — Saturday was a chance for Sekai Brown-Murray to step forward, and he made the most of it.
The Chester junior wide receiver and defensive back had a feeling his number would be called more in the District 1 Class 5A quarterfinal against No. 7 Garnet Valley.
With All-Delco Daron Harris sidelined due to a suspension, Brown-Murray knew he would be one of the players quarterback Jalen Harris would lean on for big plays.
He answered. Brown-Murray hauled in two touchdowns, finishing with four catches for 82 yards, and helped No. 2 Chester roll to a 38-7 victory.
Chester (12-0) moves on to the District 1 Class 5A semifinals for the second time in three years. The Clippers will host No. 3 West Chester Rustin next Saturday at 1 p.m.
