GREEN BAY, Wis. (WKOW) -- No. 1 Sauk Prairie clinched the Division 2 state title in girls volleyball on Saturday at the Resch Center.

Sauk Prairie beat No. 2 Grafton in five sets, 3-2.

The Sauk Prairie Eagles won the second set 25-19, the third set 25-17, and the fifth set 15-11.

The Grafton Black Hawks won the first set 27-25 and the fourth set 25-22.

The Eagles last played in the state championship in 2022, when they finished as the runner-up.

Instrumental to the Eagles win were Mallory Hartwig with 22 kills and 62 attacks, Kendall Strutz with 12 kills and 27 attacks, and Lila Shadewald with 12 kills and 21 attacks.

Paige Proefrock led the Black Hawks with 24 kills and 81 attacks.
