WEST LAFAYETTE — The mass of red-clad Ohio State fans who dominated the visuals at Ross-Ade Stadium also dominated the sounds following Saturday's 34-10 victory over Purdue .

They sang the alma mater as they walked through the concourse. They chanted their trademark “O-H," "I-O,” call-and-response along Beering Drive.

Many of them do not take that result for granted, regardless of their team’s No. 1 ranking and the Boilermakers ’ ongoing residency in the Big Ten basement. They remember grumbling profanities while trudging to their cars in 2018, and/or 2011, and/or 2009.
