Jammu, Nov 09: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has ordered correction in the name of a respondent officer and fixed November 27, 2025, as the next hearing date in the MLA Mehraj Din Malik’s detention case.

The court allowed the request to correct the name of respondent No. 3 to S. Harvinder Singh (IAS) instead of S. Harjinder Singh (IAS). The respondents raised no objection, and the Registry was directed to update the cause title accordingly.

The petitioner’s counsel informed the court that the plea seeking directions to ensure the detenue’s participation in the 4th Session of the J&K Legislative Assembly had become infructuous due to the passage of time. The court recorded the submission and disposed of the application.
