ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Community members lent a helping hand and trunk at Innovative Field on Saturday, bringing donations for the Monroe County Food Drive.
The event, organized by the City of Rochester, Monroe County, Kodak, Foodlink, the Rochester Red Wings, and Congressman Joe Morelle, brought together community resources at the stadium to support individuals facing food insecurity and those affected by the delay in SNAP benefits.
Between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., vehicles and volunteers contributed hundreds of food items that will be distributed among counties through the Greater Rochester Region's Emergency Food Network.
